Raunds Rainbow Nursery School is owned by Jeannette Hughes and Jim Woolley.

It is a private nursery, registered with OFSTED Number 220284.

The following are some details about the Nursery:

• Opened in April 1995.
• Cares for and Educates children aged from 2 years to 5 years.
• Has a pre and after school session for children who attend the local primary schools.
• Is open on all weekdays throughout the year, except for Bank Holidays.
• Opens at 8 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m.
• Is registered for 32 children.
• Follows an early years curriculum for all ages.
• Has been inspected by OFSTED. See the Inspection summary. This shows the latest Combined inspection from 2004. In its 10 years, the nursery has had a number of Social Services and OFSTED Inspections with excellent results in all cases.
• The curriculum includes the 'Foundation Stage' for 3 to 5 year old children. This is the common curriculum for this age range in all providers, including state schools.
• Is a provider for Government funded Nursery Grants. This offers free places for 3 & 4 year old children.
• A CCTV system has recently been installed for safety and observation. Any people approaching the building can be observed from within the building.
• It is a high-tech Nursery with a computer in each activity room. Being on the Internet is useful for finding resource materials and contacting other educational establishments round the world.
• The Nursery is set in an acre of land, with a wooded area at the front called the 'Rainbow Copse' and a large enclosed garden at the back which includes several very old apple trees. The children enjoy activities in the garden all the year round.
• At the front of the house we have 'Rainbow Copse' which is an adventure playground. This was designed and built by one of the parents, Nigel Jeff. It is in a figure of 8 shape, with balance beams, two bridges, a rope bridge and scramble net.
• Jeannette Hughes is the co-owner and Principal of the Nursery. She has over 20 years experience of working with young children, having worked in the London Boroughs of Islington and Camden, prior to coming to Raunds.
• Jim Woolley is a qualified primary teacher, having worked in Milton Keynes, West Australia, London, Leicestershire  and most recently Northamptonshire (2003) in teaching positions.
• Raunds Rainbow Nursery School is part of the Northamptonshire Childcare and Development Partnership which is required to offer the Government Grants.
